Kelly Zauber started Audio Outlet in 1997 with his best friend. Moved into automotive audio in 1999. Started doing home AV in 2001 and never looked back. Today KZ Audio & Video is Kelly, Billy, and Julian. Three people. No subcontractors. Every install done by someone on this team.

Kelly Zauber
Owner & Lead Installer
Kelly started in audio in 1997 running a retail and installation shop in San Antonio. After a few years in car audio, he made the jump to home AV in 2001 — and that's been the focus ever since.
Twenty-five years later, he still does installs. Not just consultations and project management — he's in the house with his crew, running wire and hanging equipment. That's by design.
Kelly works with homeowners who want someone who actually knows what they're doing and won't sell them something they don't need. He works with custom home builders who need a low voltage partner they can trust to handle homeowners professionally.
He's been doing this in San Antonio for a long time. He knows the market, the builders, the neighborhoods, and what a real home theater install looks like — not what a box store brochure says it looks like.

Billy
Installer & Project Lead
Kelly met Billy when Billy was 15. He came in as a customer — a car audio install on his Impala. He was a client through high school and for a while after that.
Years passed. Billy disappeared from the radar. Then one day he showed up again — and Kelly hired him on the spot. That was over a decade ago. Billy turns 40 this year.
There's a lot of history there, and you can feel it on a job. Billy and Kelly have a working shorthand that comes from doing this together for years. Homeowners notice.
Billy is a lead installer and project lead on most of KZ's larger theater and builder jobs. He knows what a finished install should look like — because he's seen a lot of installs and he cares.

Julian
Installer
Billy brought Julian in a few years back. Kelly knew pretty quickly that he was someone worth keeping around.
Julian is one of those people who can do anything — AV, tile, plumbing, framing. He picks up new skills fast and cares about doing things right. On a custom home theater build, that range matters. The job doesn't stop at the AV equipment.
He's the youngest person on the team and one of the most capable. Homeowners who meet all three of them usually say the same thing: these guys actually know what they're doing.
